The Gifting Closet is a lovingly curated space where sustainability, soulful creativity, and intentional living come together.
It began with a real closet, filled with eclectic, often upcycled treasures, and grew into a sanctuary of conscious giving. We offer one-of-a-kind fashion, creative therapy workshops, mental wellness-supporting products, and meaningful affiliate gifts that honor both people and the planet.
Every offering here carries a story. Whether it’s a garment reimagined from vintage fabrics, a gift curated with intention, or a Wishing Tree to gift a tree instead of more “stuff,” we believe in transforming the ordinary into something meaningful and memorable.
Our Closet Revival service invites you to bring in a minimum of three pieces from your own closet. We’ll creatively repurpose them into something fresh and unique, breathing new life into what you already own while reflecting your story in the process.
We invite you to shop online, join us for pop-up fundraisers and live shopping parties, or experience a hands-on workshop. You’ll often find us at local events, and occasionally at the La Jolla Farmers Market (check with us for our current schedule).

We specialize in upcycled designer pieces, meaningful party favors, and creative therapy workshops that celebrate reuse with purpose. Whether through hand-curated gifts or hands-on experiences, our goal is to inspire joy, reduce waste, and remind people that gifts don’t have to be new to be meaningful, they just have to come from the heart.

Founder's Story
I didn’t start The Gifting Closet because I wanted to sell things. I started it because I grew up watching someone give - not with extravagance, but with heart.
My mother, Lynne, had what she called her “gifting closet.” It wasn’t fancy. It wasn’t stocked with trendy items. It was filled with an eclectic variety of found treasures: some old, some new, each one tucked away until the perfect moment to brighten someone’s day.
She gave with grace, beauty, and intention. Every item in that closet held meaning. Not just because of what it was, but because of the love and thoughtfulness behind it.
That closet held more than gifts. It held care, resourcefulness, and a quiet belief in transformation: the idea that something simple, even forgotten, could become something deeply meaningful in the right hands.
Lynne’s life wasn’t without hardship. She lost both of her parents as a teenager and became a caregiver for her younger brother, who had special needs. Later, she raised three children while navigating life’s challenges with strength and grace.
Despite everything, she painted, created, designed, and gave generously. She found peace in her creativity and showed me what quiet strength really looks like. That philosophy of finding beauty in the unexpected and giving with heart became the seed for The Gifting Closet.
Years later, through my own journey with motherhood, entrepreneurship, and mental wellness, I came to see how powerful creative healing really is. Art has anchored me through many chapters, especially this new one as an empty nester. Now, through our workshops, offerings, and upcycled collections, I get to share that with others.
From closet revivals to curated gifts to trusted affiliate partnerships, every part of this brand is rooted in intention. It’s about honoring stories, elevating everyday items, and reminding us of the butterfly effect and the power of transformation - turning the old into new, and the ordinary into extraordinary.
